BioHasard 2021

16 online talks

followed by discussions

On Thursdays and Fridays

From May 20 to June 11

From 1 to 4 pm (UTC+2)

An interdisciplinary and international series of talks followed by discussions will bring together probabilists, mathematicians, statisticians, modelers in biology as well as biologists during 8 afternoons.

Its goal is to create new exchanges and collaborations between researchers in biology and researchers in probability and statistics interested in questions related to biology. The aim is that advances in models and analyzes in biology inspire theoretical developments for probabilities, stochastic numerical calculations and statistical developments; conversely, theoretical and methodological advances in probabilities, stochastic calculus and statistics inspire the development of new mechanistic models and statistical analysis tools for questions related to biology.

From May 20 to June 11, on Thursday and Friday afternoons, two invited lectures will take place from 1 to 3 pm (UTC+2). After each session, one hour (from 3 to 4 pm) will be dedicated to discussions/questions, possibly in small groups, for those interested. These sessions will aim to initiate discussions on possible work/collaborations. If conditions permit, we would like to organize a workshop during the fall in Grenoble, in order to continue the discussions/collaborations initiated.

Recordings of the talks will be made available on a dedicated Youtube channel: Biohasard 2021.
